I analyzed the structural response of composite outboard flap, equipped on the new aircraft Bombardier C-Series (a regional turbojet) , during a bird strike event. The study was performed through numerical simulations. The main task of my job was the identification of the most stressed flap zones during the impact. The numerical simulations are been conducted with the use of the Finite Element code LS-DYNA and MSC NASTRAN
