I worked in Magnaghi Aeronautica to the C-Series program. I analyzed the structural response of composite outboard flap, equipped on the new aircraft Bombardier C-Series (a regional turbojet) , during a bird strike event. The study was performed through numerical simulations. The main task of my job was the identification of the most stressed flap zones during the impact. The numerical simulations are been conducted with the use of the Finite Element code LS-DYNA and MSC NASTRAN

I deepened many subjects of the undergraduate program but in particular I focused on: Advanced Aerospace Structures, Advanced Aerospace Construction, Fluid-Structures Interaction and Aeroelasticity (all with FEM integrations), Preliminary Airplane Design

During the undergraduate program I paid particular attention to matters such as: Techology of Materials (in particular for composite materials), Aerospace Structures (FEA analysis) and Construction, Technical Industrial Design, Flight Dynamics and Aerodynamic.
