As a developer at AXA Health I am part of a team responsible for the development and operation of various microservices (mainly NodeJS, partly Java) and several frontends (mainly ReactJS, partly Angular) with MongoDB via Openshift (Kubernetes). We develop the individual software as a supplement to existing industry solutions, i.e. various interfaces are connected and also made available (GraphQL, REST, SOAP).

As part of a small backend team I work on the operation and further development of the backend of teleboy.ch. Various services ensure the operation of TV and internet offers. Besides PHP (Symfony), the toolset includes MYSQL, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis, Varnish and their more.

My passion is the conception and architecture of API's based on PHP. For the creation of new micro services we use the Slim Framework, existing large projects are based on Symfony. Also the maintenance of legacy applications are part of my tasks. Our technology stack includes MariaDB, Elasticsearch, Redis and various AWS services. We work in agile interdisciplinary teams, neither the cooperation with the frontend nor that with the UX is alien to me.

My primary work was the custom development of applications based on Symfony 2. From small projects, such as the development of a capacity planning tool for a daycare center for children, to large e-commerce platforms with product configurators, everything was included. The implementation of projects based on CMS, be it with Contao or Drupal, was also part of my everyday work.

Iframe AG gave me the chance to learn HTML, CSS and the basis of Javascript, even though I had only been able to gain IT experience in my spare time. The first year at ¾ was mainly characterized by the implementation of websites with the company's own CMS. Little by little, I became involved in PHP development on my own initiative, so that I was used more and more often as a developer. Since 2010 I was responsible for customer hosting.

In this short, but very multi-layered time, I drove both truck mixers (concrete mixers), as well as trucks with high troughs and thermo high troughs. Also cleaning, as well as simpler services and maintenance work belonged to my field of activity.

Both mechanical activities, such as dismantling, restoring and assembling electric motors and gears, as well as the rewinding of such, shaped my everyday work. In the partner company IASA I had several assignments in the field of valve revision, both in industry and in various nuclear power plants in the country.

I was not only allowed to benefit from the truck test, but also from the team spirit as well as from learning how to handle difficult conditions. Our company (Ei Kdo Kata Hi Ber Vb) was flooded from 22-30 August 2005.

In addition to processing, i.e. separating, forming and joining various metals, I learned how to assemble machines. The interdisciplinary cooperation with apprentices of other professions, within an interdisciplinary project, strengthened my team skills as well as my knowledge about other professions.
