Specific Projects include: West Antarctic Ice Sheet (WAIS) Project and ICDS Deep Ice Sheet Coring Drill (DISC- Drill). Facilitated the design and analysis of electro-mechanical ice drills, cold weather sleds, hand auger drills, and various components for use by the US Science Community and NSF. Developed models of the drilling process to optimize the geometry of the drill cutter.
