Assistant Professor
University of Leiden - Leiden Institute of Advanced Computer Science
My course on quantum computing at the Leiden Institute of Advanced Computer Science (LIACS) consists of regular lecturers in which we look at the subject through the eyes of a computer scientist. After the presentation of some necessary basic knowledge, topics like architecture, algorithms, programming languages, cryptography, and hardware are addressed. That results in knowledge of an exciting research field, of which it is clear that despite the progress made, many hurdles still have to be taken.
