PE owned Buy-and-Build project to form the leading European group of dermatology and phlebology clinics. European Group CFO, general manager of all group companies and holding companies respectively. Successfully managed a rollover into a continuation fund, refinancing to a Canadian debt fund as well as a complete restructuring to a European Holding Structure. Reorganized the finance functions into fully automated & scalable shared services (end-to-end) including digitalization of all processes.

Start-up in the PE-sector – 2nd employee & pioneer, building-up the group from scratch, i.e. structure central functions and acquire valuable dental clinics (buy-and-build) to form the quality leading dental clinic-network. Co-CEO & CFO of the group, general manager of our hospital & several SPEs (real estate, employee & dentist share plan). Responsible for the full commercial range, starting literally by-hand and by-myself, building-up a full functioning team and an end-to-end system landscape.

Responsible for all financial aspects of the full-service subsidiaries in Germany and Austria (registered MD), the export business into Switzerland as well as three mail-order and two technical service companies.

Successful leader for the full commercial range of the group, i.e. 7 business fields, approx. 60 employees in HQ + all admin employees in the subsidiaries. Project leader for the restructuring of the group-organisation and processes, the acquisition of companies (asset + share deals) + support of 4 boards

Responsible with my team of 32 employees in the 2010 started and fast growing shared service center for General Ledger, Fixed Assets and Investments, Inventories, Value Added Tax and Treasury (Front & Back Office). In addition, Global Process Owner for all Treasury activities in the shared service center and the related subsidiaries as well as responsible for world-wide payment activities of the Boehringer group (cash pool, cash management).

Management Committee Member, deputy of the Managing Director. Responsible with my up to 41 employees for the full commercial range + supporting Prescription Medicines, CHC + Animal Health in regards to Accounting & Taxation, Controlling & Reporting, Treasury, Law, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Risk and Insurance, IT and Customer Services. As of 1/2011 also responsible for General Admin and Infrastructure; i.e. services for HQ, regional offices, fleet-service (~300 cars) + Board Member (one-tier system)

Responsible with my team of 6 employees for the consolidated financial statements, the financial reporting including the group management report of the global pharmaceutical group Boehringer Ingelheim with consolidated revenues of Euro 10.5 billion (2006). In addition responsible for the Corporate Controlling and Accounting Procedures of the Boehringer Ingelheim group.

Member of the core team for the IFRS conversion project of the global pharmaceutical group Boehringer Ingelheim; i.e. general project management, training of 80-90 employees world-wide, preparation of the IFRS accounting procedure etc. In addition, handling of all accounting issues for the Boehringer Ingelheim group.

Responsible for budgeting and planning audits of the reconciliation from US GAAP to IFRS and German GAAP as well as US GAAP audits for German subsidiaries in the USA in various industries and markets. Reputable leader for audit teams with up to 4 employees.

Worked as an audit assistant/supervising senior accountant for German GAAP audits for enterprises of various sizes and industries.
