Dr. Huang Xiao

I am leading the fast growing research group at Fraunhofer AISEC institute, Munich. Our daily work involves innovative research in security and artificial intelligence, our mission is to deliver reliable scientific solutions for both industrial partners and academia community.

Building & Monitoring the open source Cloud computing platform OpenNebula. I am responsible of setting up the OpenNebula Cloud computing servers in Ubuntu and testing it internally.

I am working on two different research groups: [1] In the chair of IT security I focused on Grammatical Inference, including virus signature analysis using SVM and dimensionality reduction, and also the final open source project hosted on google code named GIToolbox (https://code.google.com/p/gitoolbox/) [2] In the chair of Network architecture I worked on the project of Internet exploration and cartography which we developed a traceroute tool to trace the internet topology within Europe area.

Software UI development for the Navi-system in Automobils, specifically on modules of infotainment systems.

Involved in a crowdsourcing project in HCI group, where we intensively explored NLP techniques.

Research topics: Adversarial Machine Learning, Anomaly Detection, Maximum Margin Classifiers, Kernel Methods, Sparse Models.
