Principle Consultant OSS BSS

I was the lead and responsible for the development and design of the BSS strategy, co-ordinating and submitting a RFP response to Saudi Telecom's Land Line Business Unit (BSS) RFP, based on eTOM, for Atos Origin Middle East. I provide programme leadership to the applications related activities and aspects of programme & project management, IS strategy, technical consulting, system design and integration, solution implementation and managed service delivery.

I developed and designed 95% of the response to an OSS Service Fulfilment, Service Assurance (Trouble Ticketing, Performance and Fault Management) and Network Inventory replacement strategy in response to VimpelCom’s (Russia) RFP (based on eTOM). I was responsible for defining the programme & project infrastructure. This enabled me to demonstrate my technical and business management skills in developing a strong OSS strategy within Commercial Bid & Proposal Management, IT Products and Services development.

I developed and designed 60% of the response to an OSS Service Fulfilment, Service Assurance (Trouble Ticketing, Performance and Fault Management) and Network Inventory replacement strategy in response to Orange Slovakia RFP (based on eTOM). I was responsible for defining the programme & project infrastructure. This enabled me to demonstrate my technical and business management skills in developing a strong OSS strategy within Commercial Bid & Proposal Management, IT Products and Services development.

My initial responsibility was as stream lead for the replacement of the Network Inventory. After three months, with Logica on the verge of failure and my team on schedule, I was promoted to Delivery Manager and Technical Design Authority. I had three weeks to succeed. Within that time I sat down with the customer and reduced 400 critical issues to 10 major and succeeded. I therefore co-ordinated and delivered a complex OSS/BSS program, with numerous interdependencies across a range of business areas.

I was the main author for the implementation and integration of several new IT systems (OSS & BSS), service fulfilment and assurance. The proposal, a response to an Invitation to Tender and RFP based on eTOM, incorporates Work Flow Management, Trouble Ticketing, Network Inventory, Provisioning, Service Level Agreements, Network Management, Data Migration, Billing and Network Planning.

I was responsible for analysing a Trade Management, CRM, MIS and productivity tools for a Bank, in an independent proposal. It was a large scale finance transformation programme proposal which gained me some experience on finance transformation/finance change programmes. Financial Study, Budget Estimate, Technical Review, Gap Analysis, to illustrate how Opex savings and reducing Capex expenditure could be achieved by utilising the existing equipment efficiently.

I project managed the implementation of new fibre network optimisation and maintenance processes via the integration of existing and new systems (OSS & BSS). I produced a Gap Analysis and strategy on IT/IS systems to streamline the European Broadband Fibre Network Sales, Design, Planning, Provisioning, Matching & Rating and Billing Verification processes. I wrote and defined Business, Technical, Test and Functional Specifications.

I was responsible for the program/project of the implementation and upgrade of all IT systems and network within Austria, Germany and Switzerland. I standardised the products, processes and architecture. This meant that I had to have a clear understanding of, and ability to manage, inter-dependencies between Portfolio Management, Project/Program Management and the Service Delivery Lifecycle. I demonstrated strong end-to-end Project/Program Management capabilities during complex business change/IT projects.

Gathered and documented the CRM and Billing interconnect requirements to resellers for Cellnet’s new products. Liaise with third parties and implement the required business processes, demanded by the business but determined through a Gap Analysis.

I developed and designed Cellnets remote interconnecting points with the core network and design the project plan for the implementation of the core SDH network. I demonstrated core Network Design, Project Planning, Financial Analysis and Bid Assessments for a new multi-million pound Mobile Communications Network. I also managed risk, implementation, maintenance, rollout and optimisation of the new network equipment.

I managed the software development lifecycle for voice and data switches, managing disparate teams, including offshore development teams (in Germany, Austria, Canada, USA and India). I had to make sure that the quality was fulfilled, targets were adhere to set targets and milestones in the software development fulfilled.
