Head of Cancer Screening IT Development Personally responsible for the development of target systems architecture and procurement strategy for UL Cancer Screening Systems (breast, cervical screening and bowel). Led team who designed new business processes to support increased take-up and increased scope of screening. Inherited SERPS Project ManagerDesigned and managed mail shot to 7 million people, responsible for contracting external front-line call-centre, set-up second call-centre from scratch, including procuring building, recruiting and training staff and developing scripts. Responsible for design, procurement and implementation of CRM (Customer Relationship Management System).

Led project team responsible for developing and delivering changes to the benefits regime for people in residential care homes and in nursing homes. Identified the policy changes required, developed necessary legislative changes (Health and Social Care Act (2001)), designed new business processes. Responsible for specifying the necessary IT development new system and major changes to existing benefit systems. Worked with service provider to deliver changes.

Policy analyst, responsible for creating legislation and processes for 16/17 year olds benefits regime in a new benefit. Represented DSS in expenditure negotiations with HMT, regarding the administrative costs of policy initiatives. Accountable for Benefits Agency input to National Audit Office reports and Public Accounts Committee hearings.
