Managing Director Finance (CFO) of the Aalberts Surface Technologies Group operating in more than 80 locations worldwide (Sales ~0.7 bn €). Responsible for Controlling, Reporting & Planning, Accounting, Tax, M&A, as well as for Internal Audit, Governance & Compliance and IT.

Leading all financial and commercial matters of the global “Packaging & Consumer Goods Adhesives” business unit (Sales ~3 bn €) and of the Region “India & Middle East / Africa” (Sales ~0.8 bn €) of Henkel’s Adhesive Technologies division (Sales ~9 bn €). Responsible for all financial matters in the areas of Controlling, Reporting & Planning, Accounting, Portfolio & Customer Contract Management, M&A as well as for Project Management Organization and Compliance.

Leading all financial and commercial matters of the global “Supply Chain & Operations” organization (~140 plants, ~15.500 employees) of Henkel’s Adhesive Technologies division (Sales ~9 bn €). Responsible for all financial matters in the areas of Controlling, Reporting & Planning, Product Costing, (Cost) Accounting, M&A as well as for Strategy, Project Management Organization, Manufacturing Footprint, Compliance and IT. Successfully managed the transition into The Netherlands.

Leading all financial and commercial matters of the global “Supply Chain & Operations” organization (~140 plants, ~15.500 employees) of Henkel’s Adhesive Technologies division (Sales ~9 bn €). Responsible for all financial matters in the areas of Controlling, Reporting & Planning, Product Costing, (Cost) Accounting, M&A as well as for Strategy, Project Management Organization, Manufacturing Footprint, Compliance and IT.

Responsible for the monthly top management reporting and regular peer group analyses. Acted as advisor of the CEO & Management Board on financial matters to ensure achievement of financial targets and to improve the short- and long-term profitability.

Managed the financial planning process of the group. Project lead for a group-wide special project to further improve and simplify the group planning process.

Prepared the group’s quarterly and annual reports according to IFRS and HGB. Subject matter expert for financial instruments, tangible and intangible assets, impairments and pensions.

Responsibility related to a large acquisition (Purchase price: ~3.7 bn €). Negotiated purchase price adjustments with the Seller Company. Project lead for the Purchase Price Allocation.

Responsible for lectures and colloquiums in IFRS, US-GAAP, HGB and business valuations. Carried out external consulting activities and released several publications in professional accounting journals.
