Engaged to conduct a feasibility study looking at options for the hosting of a global SAP HANA implementation programme for one of the world's leading engineering businesses based in Glasgow. Assignment was successfully completed on 27th February 2015.

Engaged on a short term assignment to provide operational leadership for the Northern EMEA region of the End User Support Services function of Information Systems & Technology and through the initial phase of a major transformation programme that included deployment of IT Kiosks to bring IT support closer to the business, BYOD and various other quality of service initiatives.

Jon was retained by the end client from his previous consulting engagement to oversee an effective managed service transition to new suppliers for applications management and support services for the Global applications estate.

Acting as Programme Manager, Jon was on-site at a major aerospace and defence client, working with their senior IT Functional Managers to guide them through a multi-million pound IT re-tendering programme. The programme encompassed all corporate IT services delivered under the incumbents Master Services Agreement across the clients group of companies. This includes the project delivery of ‘live’ engineering IT systems which are supported by IT Services and the service integration function.

A 3 month contract, as Interim Programme Director, to provide the detailed planning required when managing the global IT Shared Services strategy implementation.

Appointed to lead the initial planning phase for the 40MEUR programme to upgrade the Nokia SAP environment to ECC 6. Working closely with the internal Nokia organisation and external System Integrator, my assignment was to develop the governance and process, identify the dependencies of the 150 other active high priority business projects that are reliant on the existing R/3 environment and deliver a structure that would meet the needs and demands of the overall programme.

Responsible for the programme to migrate the Rexam PLC European Data Centre (EDC), currently located in Stevenage and Luton, to a Managed Service environment with a major outsourcing partner. The migration to a third party Tier 3 Data Centre includes substantial SAP (R/3, BW), SAP Wintel and Wintel estates. Contract subsequently extended to implement a PMO for the Global IT function.
