As part of the mobility and energy R&D group, responsibilities include participation in several Spanish and European projects either as an active member of a larger team of researchers or as a project leader. Main achievements: • Leading a FP7 project work package. • Prepared the best technical and winning proposal for a private project for a Spanish utility. • Performed a market research study on smart grid technologies and Home Area Network (HAN) solutions for a Spanish utility.

Project development according to client request and needs, as well as research and Hw and Sw design and development of solutions based on IEEE 802.15.4/ZigBee WSN and other wireless technologies. Main achievements: • Lead the development and on time delivery of an embedded Hw and Sw platform for a EUR 90K budgeted project. • Designed, developed and tested an embedded platform intended for location based security applications in harsh environments. Lead trial deployment of the solution in several facilities

As a member of the Connectivity Systems Group, responsibilities included the development of my master thesis. Main achievements: • Proposed Quality of Service (QoS) mechanisms for IEEE 802.15.4 standard, and successfully developed and tested these concepts on an embedded WSN platform developed at Philips Research intended for healthcare applications. • Delivered on time and successfully presented and defended the results obtained. • Co-authored and published a scientific.
