Julia Van Eijs

I worked as a volunteer at Opportunity Junction, a non-profit organisation helping low-income residents get and keep good jobs by providing training, support, experience, and employer introductions. I helped with revising resumes and cover letters, conducting mock interviews, assisting in workshops for job seekers, and assisting and grading in Microsoft Office classes. I also performed administrative duties, covering the reception desk, and I have worked with several data-entry systems (e.g., salesforce)

I did one-on-one tutoring for high school students in mathematics, biology, Dutch, English, and French. I also helped students with planning and scheduling their homework, both on the individual level and in classroom setting.

I worked in the main restaurant at a Spanish campsite, where we served breakfast, lunch and dinner. As the only Dutch-speaking employee, I kept good contact with Dutch guests.
