Kasia Weina

I worked in Dr. Michael Carvan's lab and studied the role of glutathione in mercury toxicity and effects of mercury on zebrafish development.

I worked in Dr. John Dellinger's lab and worked on a literature search and data analysis on fish consumption, omega fatty acids, and marine pharmacology.

I participated in the Research Experience for Undergraduates Program (REU) at University of Wisconsin-Madison. It was a nine week intensive coursework/research based program. I worked in the School of Pharmacy in Dr. Warren Heideman’s zebrafish lab. My main project was the construction and functional analysis of the zebrafish dominant negative AHR2 and there is currently a paper in the process of being published

I worked with Dr. Alexandra Grutter in her coral reef ecology lab. I identified invertebrate larvae from emergence traps data taken from the Great Barrier Reef.

I worked with Dr. J. Rudi Strickler’s Lab at Great Lakes WATER Institute and studied fish predation and sensory systems.

I worked with Dr. J. Rudi Strickler’s Lab at Great Lakes WATER Institute and studied fish visual systems and prey movement patterns.

I worked with Dr. J. Rudi Strickler’s Lab at Great Lakes WATER Institute apprenticeship and studied Bluegill fish predation using computer animated zooplankton.
