My department is responsible for the architecture, the implementation and involved with the operation of the platform and infrastructure for hosting 3rd party SaaS applications on TelekomCloud's BusinessMarketplace as well as developing the Mediencenter cloud storage/sharing platform. I built teams for successfully developing, tailoring and operating our OpenStack based infrastructure and lead them.

Responsible for the SUSE R&D team inside Novell's Open Platforms Solutions Business Unit (leading 200+ engineers and managing associated budget). Received signature authority.

Design processes, projects and product features suitable for a company in the open source ecosystem.

SUSE Labs contains numerous engineers in the areas Linux Kernel (VM, I/O, x86-64, ALSA, Input, Filesystems, ...), Toolchain/Compiler (gcc), X11, KDE and with the addition of the Immunix team and the Security team also developers in the security area. SUSE Labs is a set of great engineers in the open source area. Various kernel engineers and toolchain/gcc developers. - Team building - Internal conferences and Open Source events participation - Development Projects - Delivery, maintenance and support of software components for SUSE Linux / SLES; take over responsibility for kernel and compiler.
