Conducting literature review on new ways to engineer natural killer (NK) cells for enhanced targeting of cancer cells and evasion of the tumor microenvironment. Developing innovative approaches to enhance the targeting and effectiveness of natural killer cells within the tumor microenvironment. Staying current with recent advancements in immunotherapy and cell engineering to inform project direction and methodology.

Collaborated with researchers across various labs for experimental work. Assisted in microbiological culture and characterization. Carried out FACS and flow cytometry for immune profiling. Utilized molecular biology techniques such as PCR and sequencing for molecular diagnostics. Conducted HIV viral load determinations and early infant diagnosis. Handled sample reception, data analysis, and equipment maintenance. Participated in the implementation of quality assurance measures in the laboratory.

Performed mammalian cell culture-based viral diagnostics. Assisted in maintaining mammalian cell lines and performing cell infection assays to study pathogen-host interactions. Utilized staining techniques and microscopy imaging to analyze infected cells. Applied virological and molecular biology techniques such as virus isolation, DNA/RNA isolation, qPCR, and Illumina and Oxford nanopore sequencing for viral diagnostics. Assisted in data analysis and reporting of experimental results.
