Leandro da Mota Damasceno

I worked at the Vision and Computer Graphics Lab (VISGRAF) at IMPA as a member of a research team in interactive media and supporting the current projects with audiovisual media (such as video editing) and as a interface designer. I learned Pure Data, Python and Processing programming languages and Arduino as well as other technologies relevant for my research.

Research design, qualitative and quantitative methodologies development. Data analysis and strategic consulting reports based on behavioral trends insights. I was the Nike Squad social network project manager and worked on the branding of a new main product line for one the biggest cosmetics company in Brazil.

I was the assistant for "Marketing Research for Decisions", a class for the undergraduate business students. My responsibilities were to prepare some of the classes and exams, teach extra reinforcement classes, organize field trips to marketing research companies and advise them in their final research projects.

I was responsible for developing music and video projects using the Brazilian Cultural Incentive laws an for making them happen. As any typical executive producing job, I was responsible for the marketing and financial decisions regarding the projects, as for their execution. During this period I was able to produce a few classical music, samba and choro CDs and CD Books, and to produce a DVD from a show, as well as a music festival.

The research job involved an ethnography at a Recyclables Separator Cooperative, a project organized buy the Rio de Janeiro trash company (COMLURB). The main goal was to find out aspects of their relationship with their family, peers, and society and how that affected the business decisions the make.

Management and maintenance of the callback system, development, maintenance and management of the VoIP system. Financial analysis and reports. Media planning based on the statistical analysis of the usage of the VoIP system.
