Manage a group of 38 people to support all procurement activities for 3 factories of Hitachi global storage technology in Shenzhen, China and 4 sales & services office in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Ensure that all procurement operations yield best combination of competitive cost/payment/on time delivery and quality. Identify and recommend cost reduction opportunities, best practices, elimination of waste and other opportunities to reduce any overall costs for HGST.

 Manage a group of 12 Material Engineers and Commodity Specialists who are responsible for working directly with their US counterparts and various cross-functional teams with Business Units to support any mother board product in sustaining, NPI or product development phase.  Responsible and accountable for the success of the commodity team in terms of materials quality & reliability, supplier contract management, cost, pricing, availability, inventory management and people management.   

 Lead the sourcing of component parts in China and develop a high quality and cost effective supply base in the region to support the worldwide component strategy.  Achieve lowest total cost of ownership for component commodity.  Manage supply/demand on Dell OEM (Foxconn , Mitac & MSI) as global operational commodity manager for mother board/chassis commodity to support Dell computer build

 Lead a group of 12 people for the company procurement, planning & logistics management .  Work with the WW Procurement/planning/logistics team in establishing project plans, deliverables and priorities.  Negotiate with the supplier for the cost reduction and use KPI to drive the measurement.  Source the potential & qualified supplier in the worldwide. And succeed to localize the qualified supplier in China to support production.
