Provide technical support and guidance to partners on activities within the areas of water works. Ensure water supply and sanitation infrastructure meet UNHCR standards. Review performance, monitor development and evaluate approaches adopted by partners in Water and related sectors Represent the WASH sector internally and externally, in particular in the WASH cluster with other relevant actors/technical coordination platforms as necessary.

Assist Program Design Department in preparing WASH Technical approaches, proposals and concept notes. Preparing WASH baseline survey, ToR and emergency WASH assessment check lists Conduct field monitoring and provide onsite technical assistance to project based water engineers Carry out proper surface water works design modifications whenever necessary. Prepare technical manuals and engage in action researches.

Preparing detail engineering designs and supervision of infrastructures project constructions. Preparing infrastructure projects bid document and checking contractors’ payment certificates. Training WASHCos on WASH projects sustainability and management. Reviewing Water supply and Irrigation projects design documents before implementation. Training community and institutions on sanitation and hygiene promotion in collaboration.

In association with relevant experts from government offices, perform water resources development studies and conduct design review as required Conduct close field supervision to ensure the implementation of water resource development are in line with the plan and design Prepare bill of quantities, specification and cost estimate for water resource development and other civil work projects
