Under my scope of responsibilities, areas of Warehousing - Industrial Planning - Import/Export and Inventory Control were led to assist the supplying towards carriers Movistar, Personal, Claro and Nextel of cellular phones and tablets. Headed formation of a domestic Purchasing department. Implemented “Integrity Compliance” international ethics program in the local enviroment. Lectured the course “Basics of Supply Chain Management” APICS to the Project Managers in each Business Unit. Devised outbound logistics for minisplits A/A units to wholesaler markets. Carried out buying U$S 2.5 M facilities components to fit the first LEED building in Buenos Aires, Madero Office.

Led export of 387 Low Power switchboards towards the chief paper mill in Brazil, U$S 17 M priced, involved in each detail of the project, starting with the completion of the gross work from the shop-floor until the final hand-over in client’s site, under surveillance of PERT-CPM techniques. A multifaceted team composed by 8 inward professionals, 2 Custom House brokers and 2 freight forwarders was directly administered to cope with the challenge.

Led the outsourcing process from an self-operated supply chain to a 3rd party agent. Then, conducted the planning & control of the whole operation, which entailed outside buying, import, storage, kitting and dispatching of machinery, spare parts and consumables. Devised K.P.I’s chart to keep track of the center. Organized deployment of marketing events over several sites nationwide. Achieved 20 % prices cut back and longer extensions on terms of payment by re-negotiating with leading suppliers.

Responsibilities included: Turning sales forecast into monthly operating plans, scheduling customer sales orders with commitments to meet on-time delivery, and shipping performance requirements. Supervised 6 employees in the distribution center of each country with responsibility for order entry, backlog, and inventory control functions. Conducted monthly physical inventories at end of year audits. Implemented policies and procedures for the returns area.

Developed master production schedules based on sales forecasts and manufacturing constraints. Responsibilities included controlling the initiation, production scheduling, kit release schedules and material procurement of all required support materials, in addition to project management of all assembly lines operations. Generated monthly and long-term material requirements to facilitate the purchase and delivery of all raw materials.

Responsible for drawing up the master production schedule for an output of more than 1,500 Items. Supervised the distribution among branches either local or foreign ones (weekly contact with U.S. dealer). Developed a series of one-week intensive seminars for intemal employees on commercial software (LOGWARE)
