Maria Victoria Francetic

As a student, I worked in UIDET LaCLyFA, a laboratory under the aeronautical department of the National University of La Plata, on a project on the characterization of DBD plasma actuators. In this position I conducted a preliminary research, established its delimitations, designed and constructed a testbed, including a Pitot tube, performed the measurement of the differential pressure produced by the electric wind for each configuration with a manometer, to compare data and draw conclusions.

In UIDET LaCLyFA, a laboratory of the National University of La Plata, I worked on a investigation project on passive flow control. I gathered and organized information, designed and constructed a testbed, assisted in the mechanical design and construction of a support with movements in the three axes to locate the hot wire anemometer probe used for testing automatically, set up the wind tunnel for testing, obtained and analyzed data using Python to draw conclusions and develop a report.

As a teaching assistant for the mathematics class “Matemática para Ingeniería”, I reinforced the professor’s lessons by reviewing the material with students one-on-one, in small groups or in front of the class, assisted with recordkeeping, graded tests and evaluated the students performance.

I supported freshman students in their first year in the university. I assisted students in the development of strategies to deal with the obstacles they may encounter during their university work, supported the improvement of their academic skills, reviewed class assigments, discussed class content, organized academic activities and events, and created informational, motivational and academic content to diffuse in social networks for students.

In UID GTA - GIAI, a group within the aeronautical department of the National University of La Plata, I worked on the comparative analysis between the national, regional and global aeronautical normative. I carried out extensive comparative analysis by compiling data, updating Excel spreadsheets and producing reports, enhanced collaboration between team members, and communicated effectively with faculty and staff to follow their requests, suggestions and attend to their critiques for improvement.
