Negotiated improved market access conditions for Swiss companies in free trade negotiations with more than 15 countries in Asia, Latin America and Africa and the Middle East. As Deputy Director supported the Director in managing a team of twelve with regard to the effective planning and execution of the team’s projects and interacted with EFTA’s top management in addition to negotiator tasks.

Acted as team lead and area expert for investment and competition law matters at EFTA with a view to improve framework for Swiss investors abroad. Led internal consensus building efforts as well as design strategies for negotiations with partner countries.

Directed ICC’s policy work in financial services and insurance as well as anti-corruption and managed small team. Developed strategies to assist companies dealing with emerging regulatory issues (including Basel II, Corporate Governance, CSR and Anti-Bribery) and advised companies on how to address them.
