As R&D of a young and promising startup developing a novel structural heart implant, my tasks include: • Design and validation of the sterile barrier and protective packaging of the implant • Design of an improved simulated use model for training purposes • Support of clinical activities including sterile device preparation in implantations • Analysis of patient anatomy and translation into design input for redesign of the implantation system (accessories)

As a member of the R&D team of a medical engineering business developing cardiovascular implants, my tasks include: • Working in and leading submissions for cardiac implants (FDA & CE) • Planning and execution of product verification and validation • Product maintenance and preparation of technical documentation (DHF, DMR...) • Collaboration with other departments (RA, QA, Production…) to ensure compliance and improve internal processes

As an intern in the R&D department, I worked in the planning, execution and documentation of tests for new procedures in endodontics.

Modeling and Implementation of Implant- and Catheter-Systems for the Mitral Valve in a CT-based Software. Including: • Analysis of the anatomy and diseases of the Mitral Valve Apparatus • Analysis of main catheter-based procedures in the context of transcatheter mitral valve repair and replacement • Segmentation of the Mitral Valve • Modelling and Implementation of different catheter-based delivery systems
