13 Month Aerodynamics Industrial Placement. As a fully integrated member of the aerodynamics team involved in the development of the 2015 and 2016 Mercedes Formula 1 car, whilst closing the loop from initial design idea, to geometric shape generation using Catia (CAD), CFD simulations, being the responsible aerodynamicist during wind tunnel testing followed by detailed analysis seeking to successfully and innovatively improve the cars performance.
8 Week Internship Effective involvement in the verification of the 3-D meshing tool NUMECA AutoGrid. Automated the meshing process using Python and coherent creation of test cases.
8 Week Internship Successful creation of a program for the development of geometries, to help object and plane creation. Programmed in Common LISP.

Solved a previously unsolved geometric problem in the company. Successful work experience initiated a program to offer the five best students in maths and physics from Grade 9 at the Bavarian International School a work experience in the department at MTU Aero Engines.
