Within my first quarter in this role, I secured two contracts of which I was responsible to coordinate and manage as project lead. As project lead, my responsibilities included: creating and presenting sales pitches, helped generate brand identities, produced strategy documents which defined brand attributes such as core values, target market definition and desired brand images, assisted in creating corporate designs for both brands as well as created working wireframes for a mobile application.

In this position I managed the online content for the Faculty of Health Sciences’ website and produced monthly reports using Google Analytics. I was also responsible for developing and publishing content on Curtin‐branded social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and StudentBox. As well as this I coordinated engaging electronic emails which went out to a wide range of audiences.

My time as a brand ambassador was very rewarding as i had the opportunity to work on various campaigns which were all different and always challenged me in new ways. I had the pleasure to work with large and established brands such as Strongbow, Smirnoff and Dare. Some campaigns required me to work within a team and some by myself which allowed me to refine both my teamwork skills as well as being able to work on my own.

During this time i provided administrative assistance to the Marketing Team including but not limited to, word processing, filing and other general clerical duties. I also accurately maintained and updated existing and potential customer information, assisted in the organization and execution of company events and provided general support to the Marketing Communications Manager.

During my internship I coordinated the biggest event at Curtin University, Open Day, which attracts over 21,500 people each year. I was responsible for event management, helping to coordinate a wide range of stakeholders, putting together a major competition for the event and had the chance to develop my communication skills through organising tours on the day, organising catering for the event and writing copy for a wide range of communications including posters, emails and copy for the website.
