Digital transformation using Business Social Media (IBM Smartcloud for Social Business), providing expertise and architectural development methods as required. I was focussed on IBM’s major financial services customers providing hands-on technical skills and business consultancy at all levels. Providing technical ownership of customer projects and problem management within and around the IBM Exceptional Digital Experience Product Roadmap.

Digital Transformation Architect, responsible for design and implementation of a Neighbourhood Policing application, integrating multiple data sources on a GSI (map) based interface, suitable for both officers and staff. Built using a Java based open source software using the Liferay as the User Experience.

As a seasoned Java and VB developer, I was invited to perform an interesting task of converting (by automated means if possible) a number of aging Visual Basic applications into Java. I successfully performed this task alongside a number of other separate initiatives such as a Web Based JSF call management system and a VBA based Credit Card Loans MIS tool.

Responsible for the deployment and upgrade of IBM Document Content Management and Workflow System. The product is a mix of IBM DB2, Websphere and Java. I was responsible for the Vendor relationship with IBM and a third party solution provider. The successful implementation enabled movement of all the client document archives off-site in accordance with FSA guidelines and delivered significant cost benefits.

Responsible for the management and development of web based Insurance Broking Application, utilising ASP/IIS/SQL Server. Performed complete software development life cycle from inception, creation to delivery. The application enabled the on-line production of policy documentation including technical wordings, the calculation of premiums and claims processing. Responsibility for the day to day management of staff including contract staff, client liaison to ensure that the fixed price application develop

Managed joint application development with IT resources in New York. Performed engineering of various data models in IBM DB2 OS390, including data modelling using Erwin Platinum Case Tool, Creating Logical and Physical Models including, views, triggers, constraints and stored procedures. Performed UML project modelling using Rational Rose and Microsoft Visual Modeller including conversion of user specification into User Cases. Class, state and collaboration diagrams. Managed contract development resources. Re-engineered business critical systems, including Y2K and European Monetary Union Modifications (Wingz). Re-engineered Data Models in both Sybase Adaptive Server 10 and Microsoft SQL Server. Performed project management and scope control for various projects using Microsoft Project EMU, Y2K and other treasury initiatives. Created a Sybase Data Warehouse for such tools as the Funding Profit and Loss Reports.

Various Credit Risk related roles, including Analysis, Design, Implementation. Complete SDLC on a number of development frameworks over the years including, VB, SuperBase, Dataease, Oracle Forms, Guptas SQL Server (anyone remember that one?) and a whole host (no pun intended) of other products including a little bit of machine code in there as well, oh yes C before C++ existed.
