Coordination and support of all hardware and software activities to achieve the multi-tenancy of twelve Compliance applications on behalf of the UBS-wide initiative “Too big to fail“ (Program WHITE)/ Budget: Around CHF 12 million/ Involved parties: More than 40, various disciplines, from various countries.

Overall responsibility for the execution of IT disaster recovery tests (approximately 90 applications)/ Approximately 5 - 10 parties are involved in a test.

Overall responsibility for four large and four small releases per year (approximately 16 applications and 30 projects per release) and various special releases/ Budget: CHF several millions per major release/ Involved parties: Several hundred, various disciplines and from various countries.

Specification of a new trading order management system (web application for entering securities orders): Main responsibility for the development of the Business Object Model (BOM) (3 - 5 employees have worked for that)/ Creating UML documents based on client requirements: Use Cases, Business Rules, Interface Requirements Specifications and Screen Requirements Specifications. Responsibility that the UML documents are approved by the client and the developers.

IT PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Overall responsibility for the smooth implementation of enhancements and bug fixes of various host-based and decentralized Trust, Foundation and UBS Life applications (project team size between 5 and 10 employees)/ SOLUTION MANAGEMENT: Creation of target architectures, implementation guidelines, application designs, road maps, etc. for Trust, Foundation and UBS Life solutions. Responsibility that these documents are approved by all relevant stakeholders.

Specification of a web application for client advisors for the entering of TRUSTS and FOUNDATIONS: Development of solutions in close cooperation with the client. Responsibility that the proposed solutions are approved by the client and the developers/ Specification of UBS LIFE enhancements. Responsibility that these are approved by the client and the developers. Responsibility for the organization and execution of all user acceptance tests (approximately 20 involved testers).

Specification of a web platform for the comprehensive support of the project managers: Development of processes and solutions in close cooperation with the client and writing down the solutions so that they can be implemented by the developers. Responsibility that the proposed solutions are approved by the client and the developers. Responsibility for the organization and execution of the user acceptance tests (approximately 5 involved testers)

Annual preparation or updating of the overarching Credit Suisse IT strategy and the sector-specific IT strategies in line with the corresponding business strategies.

Overall responsibility for the evaluation of a SEARCH ENGINE FOR THE INTRANET (10 - 15 project members): Ensuring that the requirements are approved by all stakeholders/ Rating of the incoming offers for conformity with the requirements/ Presenting the ratings to all stakeholders and deciding for the winning product/ Ensuring a waterproof supplier contract and a smooth implementation of the selected product/ I have also supported colleagues evaluating a CONTENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM and a WORKFLOW TOOL.

Keeping of financial, accounts receivable and accounts payable accounting and preparation of annual and quarterly financial statements for the individual legal entities and their holding company as well as preparation of budgets and monthly forecasts/ Controlling of major advertising campaigns, among others for General Motors and Camel.

Overall responsibility for replacing of a IBM/36 mainframe and networking of PCs (approximately 5 - 6 project staff): Evaluation of a suitable new mainframe and a PC network/ Planning and supervision of the introduction of the IBM AS/400 and the Novell Netware/ Ensuring effective and efficient IT operation.

Overall PROJECT RESPONSIBILITY for the implementation of ERP and special solutions at small and medium-sized production and trading companies (approximately 4 - 5 project staff: Ensuring the capturing and acceptance of the requirements/ Programming of special solutions/ Implementation of ERP and special solutions at the client and training of the client/ IT MANAGEMENT at large production and trading company (fenaco Central Switzerland, formerly Association of Agricultural Cooperatives Central Switzerland).

Three years commercial apprenticeship (Agricultural Cooperative, Nottwil) and afterwards general administration work (ALU Menziken AG, Menziken).
