Start up business that introduced a branded all natural children’s convenience food into 681 Wal-Mart Supercenters and 210 Shop Rite grocery stores. Developed short and long term supply chain strategy and negotiated all contracts. Partnered with a highly acclaimed Chef to develop the product and a New York agency to develop the packaging. Contracted with a national broker to introduce the product and external manufacturing to produce the product.

Reported to the Executive Vice President. Member of Executive Leadership Team. Responsibilities included a $200 million warehouse and transportation budget, $35 million 3rd party wholesale distribution budget, $150 million central procurement buy, strategic sourcing and labor management.

Reported to the Senior Vice President of Supply & Logistics. Focus was on internal supply chain strategy opportunities that focused on warehouse capacity, inventory reduction, labor challenges and external sourcing strategy.

Reported to the President of the Planters Specialty Company and Senior Vice President of Operations. Reporting into both the business unit and manufacturing, main responsibilities included product introductions, business and operations strategy, service and productivity. Member of the executive leadership team.

Reported to the Senior Vice President of Logistics. Transitioned business operations from North Carolina to New Jersey, which included building an organization with new hires and creating a wining, profit driven culture. Led the development of strategies to execute short and long range planning centered on manufacturing capabilities. Restructured production process and established a winning culture that focused on measurable goals:

Developed, initiated and established supply chain management processes to support customer service requirements. Directed production at three plants and fifteen contract manufacturing locations with responsibility for planning the production, procurement, inventory and logistics of 450 product types valued at $50M. Procurement responsibility for packaging and ingredients spend of over $60M.

Introduced supply chain concepts and established information systems to support management and planning processes, from Forecasting and Sales/Order Management through Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP), Achieved a $5 million reduction in inventory investment while increasing customer service level.

Directed the deployment of product from two plants and six contract manufacturing operations to twelve distribution centers throughout the United States. Supervised Inventory Analysts in managing $40+ million of product inventory.

Trained logistics professionals on NOMAD programming, an ad hoc report writer. • Established a database of current and historical information on customers, products, inventory and orders.

Supervised union crews performing warehousing/distribution services of 2,000 products in a 130,000 sq. ft facility.
