Taught foundations of community counseling, knowledge and skills for successful practice and operation of a community mental health organization through the implementation of experiential learning approach; Introduced basic therapeutic skills and structures compatible with a wide range of theoretical counseling approaches to 12 counseling students through the use of role play, practical experience, and discussion groups; Conducted web-based learning program as supplement to coursework.

Administer all aspects for overall planning, implementation, and coordination of 4 offices for the assigned catchment area of the Counseling and Children’s Services department.; Coordinate aspects of State Division of Mental Health contract, United Way funding, and third party reimbursement for counseling services.

Wrote and presented grant reviews for 70 page applications to assigned committees of health care professionals from the U.S. by approval of $600,000 three-year grant awards to recipients.

Managed at-risk children’s department through the hiring and training of family-based therapists and collaborated services with other local mental health service providers; Provided individual and supervision for 9 counseling staff.

Managed acute psychiatric hospital program and staff for 16-bed inpatient unit.
