Product design - LED lighting collections

Senior industrial designer with extensive experience in product design and project management especially in the Spanish lighting industry and furniture industry. However, I have developed all kinds of projects, from POS displays to metal frameworks systems, hospitality interiors, corporate communication and branding for Spain, France, Slovakia and China clients. I have travelled twice to China to assist clients with localization tasks, assessment and the monitoring of new industrial suppliers.

I reorganized its product range, designed several new collections and gave a boost to its corporate image.

In 2005 the company found itself in a very delicate commercial and financial situation, so I was not only involved in product design but I also assumed art direction with the objective of regaining customer confidence through a global change of image that reflected the logistics and business restructuring being undertaken by the company. This consisted of pacing the release of new product lines with the strengthening of its brand by using unprecedented corporate communication strategies...

I designed two boutique hotels, two restaurants and a nightclub. I supervised the construction projects and facilitated the process of equipment purchase for the client.

From 2004 to 2007 I worked in the furniture industry for central and northern Spanish companies such as Equide, Comodal, Inmadu, Tapizados Medina, Muebles Tuesta, Creaciones Numancia, Artesanía Almazán, Muebles Semper and VIE. I also participated in two editions of the Domus Mediterranean exhibitions and collaborated with the Spanish Foundation for the Innovation in Crafts.

I was commissioned to design and develop a modular exhibition stand system of extruded aluminium alloy profiles for the specific building of rental exhibitor stands with double-panel partition walls. The quick assembly system consisted of two aluminium 6063 alloy extruded profiles, 3 hidden brackets T connectors (injection molding aluminium) for the different possibilities of anchorage and a wide range of accessories.

I collaborated with the product design and the technical management of suppliers and subcontractors for the company Iberval and its three commercial lighting brands (Iberlamp, Chust Design and Chust Lighting).

I collaborated with the Arts Graphics & Printing Company in the design of packaging, brochures, corporate stationery, displays and catalogues for its various clients.

My role consisted of the design of POS display proposals, their presentation to potential new corporate clients, and the subsequent technical development and technical support to suppliers and subcontractors for their manufacture. In this context I developed POS displays for UFESA, TAURUS, PHILIP MORRIS Ibérica and MAYBELLINE New York. I also designed cell phone exhibits and a system of modular display counters for installing jewellery store islands in Géant hypermarkets in France, Poland and Uruguay.
