Managed and processed manpower requirements as well as all human resource functions for the Center for the Evaluation of Patient Aligned Care Teams (CEPACT), a demonstration lab funded by VA.

• Delivered a full range of financial management support services to senior leaders and assigned personnel within a 13-state area of responsibility. • Provided personnel management, technical advice, and guidance to 6 personnel; – resulting in two individuals recognized for commendable achievement and selected for promotion. • Developed measures to streamline business processes for internal stakeholders.

• Formed solid business relationships with a diverse group of professionals consisting of service members and civilians, exhibiting strong written and verbal communication skills. • Coordinated with regional organizations such as the U.S. Army Reserve Pay Center and Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) to collect, analyze, and resolve inappropriate payroll charges. • Supported mobilized personnel in obtaining direct support from temporarily dispersed finance organizations.

• Accountable for the training and development of two team leaders and 10 employees in the area of financial management. • Applied experience and knowledge of financial transaction processing to review summary analytical reports containing timely and accurate financial information to reconcile rejected data and advisory messages. • Responded to inquiries from auditors, inspectors, and inspections on Freedom of Information Act data with discretion and objectivity.

• Monitored/tracked and reconciled $4.1 million worth of commitments, obligations, and disbursements with little or no supervision, conferring with superiors on unusual matters. • Provided functional system services to the organization’s government travel charge card program for delinquency, enabling upper-level management to enforce the standard of 2% or less set by the Department of Defense.

• Displayed natural ability to instill accountability of section training, providing guidance and direction based on experience; written and oral instructions were clear and concise. • Conducted an annual financial audit prior to a formal review of the agency's Organization Inspection Program (OIP). Reviewed all financial transactions which included submission of bonus payments and resolving pay inquiries.

• Assisted in maintaining Group Health's day-to-day standardized medical and office supply needs and equipment acquisition for Research Institute. This included ordering, receiving, inventory control, linen, supply and equipment distribution, repairs, instrument reprocessing and/or infection control. Worked with other Group Health departments in support of the Materials Management functions.

• Managed facilities valued at $40 million. Reviewed and submitted utilization reports, approved and prioritized work orders, inspected scope of work, completed and supervised maintenance. • Incorporated a user-friendly system for maintaining facility repairs, which resulted in a faster and more efficient method of processing work orders. • Devised and implemented a zero defect Credit Card tracking system with a 100% audit trail.
