Led a project that was part of the European Commission funded program concentrating on protein structures of important human proteins involved in human diseases such as cancer. Analyzed different producers, vendors and offers to purchase laboratory equipment. Implemented novel methodologies and a new line of research into the laboratory. Achieved a 20-fold increase in the yield of an essential protein complex within just 6 months. Trained and supervised a research technician.

Managed a project that resulted with a pioneering work in preparing large quantities of a crucial 15-subunit protein complex that transcribes genetic message of DNA into RNA. Cloned 90 different gene products, assessed their expression levels in different cells, purified, characterized and crystallized soluble protein products, and solved two atomic structures. Coordinated two senior research technicians. Assisted in teaching in two practical courses in Biochemistry.
