Recently involved in a study that focuses on the acute effects of electro-convulsive therapy on the brain using quantitative MRI. This project investigates functional and structural changes in the brain after an ECT session using DWI, qMRI and water content mapping using a 3T MRI scanner and psychological testing. My contribution to this study has was to write an ethical approval and to make a reference brain atlas using data of young healthy cohort to enable a good comparative study between ECT patients.

Studied and over-viewed the functioning and requirements of Biomedical Engineering department and learnt the various roles played by a biomedical engineer while handling hospital equipment.

Learned about various psychological problems and their causes by conducting psychological assessments such as DST, VSMS, Binet-Kamat and PAT and studying the case history and treatment steps of patients in the departments of Behaviour Modification and Counselling.
