    Managed a somewhat modest group of franchisee dealerships located in central Georgia with annual sales exceeding $170 million. Reduced group vehicle inventories by 12 percent and operational expenses by more than 18 percent while improving overall sales revenue by more than 23 percent. Responsibilities included organizational alignment, inventory optimization, marketing strategy, retail promotions, and group financial management.

    Wholesale Network, LLC

    Founded and managed an automobile wholesale brokerage that serviced a select group of dealer clients. Services entailed client retail sales analysis, price and model stocking advice, as well as wholesale supply acquisitions with complete logistical and settlement assurance. The firm averaged over 4,500 transactions annually by acquiring the right models for each specific dealership at pricing well below the market average via volume acquisition.

    United Auto Group

    Managed about $35 million of vehicle inventories for a group of franchise stores in the southeast and completed two franchise store turnarounds as interim general manager with both stores moving from operating losses to profitability while generating over $300,000 of additional non-store vehicle wholesale profits. Key duties included general management, group retail sales analysis, vehicle inventory management, and Wholesale Network.

    General Sales Manager

    Century Automotive

    Increased monthly used vehicle sales by nearly five times and dominated the area of influence, helped manage and grow new vehicle sales from the bottom ten to the “top ten” performance in South Carolina, and developed new store locations while expanding used vehicle sales into the subprime market. Responsibilities included salesforce recruiting and training, sales management, inventory control, store advertising, and vehicle wholesale.

  • 1990 - 1991

    General Manager

    Sylacauga Ford Mercury

    Recruited by the former zone manager and hired by the dealer principal as general manager of a new but rather modest dealership with only 37 or so employees. Quickly improved misaligned vehicle inventories, implemented training programs, developed sales and service procedures, and executed targeted advertising. Improved dealership revenues, unit sales, and profits by more than 200 percent and maintained profitability on a monthly basis.
