Support the Cardiopulmonary Therapeutic Area Team of Epidemiologists - 12 Months Internship

We are offering a valuable 12-month internship opportunity to support our Cardiopulmonary therapeutic area team of epidemiologists. This unique experience allows you to gain hands-on exposure to epidemiological research and contribute meaningfully to our projects focused on cardiovascular health. During this internship, you will assist in the execution the following tasks:

• Develop and maintain a robust literature review on the epidemiology estimates in the cardiovascular domain
• Contribute to study design, analysis, and results interpretation of real-world data to understand the natural history of a disease
• Lead the development of clinical phenotypes for secondary use of insurance databases in collaboration with epidemiology analysts and safety physicians to ultimately provide the team with epidemiology estimates of medical events of interest for the cardiovascular space
• Contribute to and review of epidemiology study documents as well as documents generated by other departments such as Global Drug Safety, Global Market Access, Global Clinical Science, Global Medical Affairs

Minimum Education Requirements:

• PhD in Epidemiology, Public Health, or a closely related field

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong command of English, both spoken and written, to effectively communicate complex ideas
• Good computer skills, including proficiency with data management and analysis tools
• Demonstrated team spirit with the ability to work cooperatively in a multidisciplinary environment
• High sense of responsibility, attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to work autonomously
• A valid Swiss working permit that remains active until at least 30 September 2026 (this is mandatory for application)

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Prior experience in systematic literature reviews, ideally focusing on epidemiological or clinical research
• Familiarity with AI tools used for data extraction and analysis to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Depth of knowledge in cardiovascular medicine, enabling a better understanding of disease processes and clinical endpoints
