Do you have a background in electrical engineering and want to apply your technical expertise more extensively in sales and customer consulting?

We are seeking a sales-oriented professional for the role of Technical Inside Sales (Pre-Sales) (m/f/d) at a leading global premium provider of electrical measurement and testing technology.

In this role, you will work at the intersection of technology and sales: You will provide technical advice to customers, identify new business opportunities, and support projects from the initial inquiry through to the order.

Your responsibilities:

Active Sales / Inside Sales:

Managing and developing a defined customer base or sales territory
Proactively reaching out to customers by phone (inbound and outbound) to identify new sales opportunities
Analyzing customer requirements and assessing needs with a focus on specific sales projects
Independent preparation of quotes, including technical clarification, cost calculation, and commercial evaluation in the ERP system
Structured quote follow-up with the goal of securing orders
Management of the sales process from Lead → Opportunity → Order
Close collaboration with the field sales team on quote strategies and closing plans
Identification and implementation of up-selling and cross-selling opportunities
Support for bids, tenders, and more complex quotation processes
Participation in sales campaigns, projects, and events with a sales focus

Technical Consulting / Pre-Sales:

Providing technical consulting to customers, partners, and sales units regarding electrical measurement and test technology solutions
Analysis of technical requirements and development of suitable solution proposals
Support with technical inquiries via phone, email, or digital meetings
Technical clarification of customer inquiries, projects, and tenders
Provision of technical information to support commercial processing
Support with technical order clarification in collaboration with order management

Systems and Sales Support:

Maintenance and documentation of all sales-related activities in the CRM system
Documentation of customer activities, opportunities, and quotation processes
Ensuring a consistent database for sales and management
Maintenance of customer master data
Management of software licenses and user maintenance in the customer portal
Organization and support for demo and sales warehouse processes

Collaboration and interfaces:

Area Sales Managers
Technical Support
Product Management
Marketing
Order Management
In addition, you will provide support at customer events, trade shows, and webinars.

Your Profile:

Professional Qualifications:

Completed vocational training in electrical engineering (e.g., electronics technician, electrician, mechatronics technician)
Ideally, further training as a technician, master craftsman, or bachelor’s degree
Several years of experience in technical sales or inside sales of products requiring detailed explanation
Knowledge of electrical measurement and testing technology is a plus
Experience in needs assessment, quote preparation, and quote follow-up
Proficiency with CRM systems, SAP, and MS Office
Business acumen and a sales-oriented mindset
Very good Dutch and good English skills
Knowledge of German is a plus
