ABOUT THE JOB
Head of Procurement (m/f/d)
What's in store for you?
- Overall strategic and operational responsibility for the procurement organization
- Leadership, development, and motivation of the purchasing team as well as the assigned supply chain, supplier management, and goods receiving units
- Development and implementation of a long-term purchasing and supply chain strategy
- Optimization of procurement processes, material flows, and inventory levels in terms of costs, quality, and delivery performance
- Ensuring efficient supplier management, including selection, evaluation, and development of strategic partners
- Negotiation of framework and annual contracts and ensuring sustainable cost optimization
- Close cooperation with production, design, quality assurance, and logistics
- Monitoring and reporting of relevant KPIs and derivation of measures for continuous improvement
What should you bring with you?
- Successfully completed degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, business administration, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional and management experience in procurement or supply chain in a manufacturing company, ideally in mechanical engineering
- In-depth understanding of purchasing strategies, supplier development, and supply chain processes
- Confident communication and presentation skills
- High problem-solving skills, strong analytical abilities, and a structured approach
- Assertive, team-oriented leader with a hands-on approach
- Confident use of ERP systems and MS Office
