Master student (m/f/d) – R&D Innovative Technologies department – temporary

Your main tasks and responsibilities

• This Master’s project is intended to complement your education and provide you with insight into the work and activities of the R&D department of a pharmaceutical company.
• The project should last 6 months, and supervision of a master’s thesis on the topic of "Process digitalization & automation” is offered
• Supporting the Vienna R&D team with the following tasks:
• Expansion of the digital laboratory environment
• Development of automated workflows for novel and established unit operations
• Developing and applying process models for advanced process control
• Validation of the developed tools and interpretation of the results
• Documentation within the scope of the above-mentioned tasks

Your expertise and ideal skill set

• Student with a scientific or process engineering background, preferably in the fields of biotechnology, bioprocess engineering, biomedical engineering, or similar
• Interest in writing a master’s thesis on "Process digitalization & automation”
• Mandatory lab courses during the studies are completed
• Interest in learning new methods
• High motivation and willingness to learn
• Very good knowledge of spoken and written English
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Team player
• High interest in acquiring experience in the research and development department of a pharmaceutical company
• Personal responsibility, flexibility, and ability to work in a team
• Precise way of working

The minimum gross salary according to the collective agreement (chemical industry) is EUR 3,395.16 based on 38 hours per week (full-time).
