    The Medical Lead, Hematology (m/f/d) will lead the medical strategy, operations and field medical team for hematology assets in Switzerland by providing senior medical leadership, driving evidence generation, medical education and scientific exchange, ensuring medical governance and compliance, and partnering cross-functionally to support clinical development, market access and commercial objectives with a patient-centric focus.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Define and execute the local medical strategy and annual medical plan for hematology assets aligned with regional/global strategy.
    • Lead and manage the field medical team (e.g., MSLs) including recruitment, performance management, training, account plans and medical KPIs.
    • Drive scientific engagement with KOLs, academic centres, clinical investigators and other stakeholders such as scientific societies and patient groups.; plan and lead advisory boards and expert meetings.
    • Oversee evidence generation activities: investigator-initiated trials, real-world evidence, post-marketing studies and local clinical collaborations.
    • Provide medical input to cross-functional teams (commercial, market access, regulatory, pharmacovigilance, clinical development) and participate in launch and lifecycle planning.
    • Ensure high-quality medical review and creation of scientific materials ensuring compliance with medical governance and local regulations.
    • Represent the company at national and international scientific meetings and present data to internal and external audiences.
    • Monitor therapeutic landscape, guidelines and HTA decisions to inform local strategy and value positioning.
    • Ensure development of direct reports (as required) using tools implemented in Switzerland – e.g. development & talent plans
    • Support Hematology/Oncology Medical projects for capability improvements, as required
    • Develop and keep strong collaboration with European and global medical team to effectively communicate needs and insights from Switzerland.

    Basic Skills & Qualifications:

    We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals

    • MD, PharmD, PhD or equivalent advanced life-science degree; clinical experience in hematology strongly preferred.
    • Multiple years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech medical affairs, clinical development or related roles with significant hematology focus.
    • Demonstrated experience leading field medical teams (MSLs) and managing cross-functional projects.
    • Track record of KOL engagement, advisory board leadership, evidence generation and scientific communications (publications, congress presentations).
    • Experience interacting with scientific stakeholder, payers or regulatory authorities is highly desirable.
    • Excellent scientific writing and presentation skills in English; and at least one local language skills of either German/French/Italian are required.
