ABOUT OUR PROGRAM

In its third consecutive year, the Advanced Studies Internship Program is designed for high-potential MA, MBA, and PhD students who thrive in fast-paced environments and bring an innovative mindset. This program is ideal for individuals with the ambition to build a dynamic career in the healthcare industry and have an impact on emerging markets. Participants gain hands-on experience through carefully structured project assignments, guided by mentorship from Abbott’s leadership team, providing real-world exposure and strategic insights into our business.

Designed to complement students’ schedule and discipline, providing the experience needed for a successful career shift, we offer advanced assignments that focus on marketing, strategy, finance, commercial execution or operations.

Projects are designed to empower participants to develop innovative solutions to real business needs. Each assignment delivers meaningful impact while providing deep exposure to the healthcare industry and Abbott’s Medicines business.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

- Duration: 6 months – typically March - August

- Location: Basel, Switzerland
- Includes onboarding, networking events, and a final presentation to senior leaders

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently enrolled in an MBA, MA, or PhD program

- Driven by an innovative mindset; motivated by fast-paced, collaborative work environments

- Demonstrated work experience in healthcare, marketing, sales, finance, project management, strategy or operations
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Demonstrated interest in building a career healthcare
- Global mindset and proven track record
- Geographic flexibility within Switzerland to be present in Basel
