The Position
At Roche, our 10-year Pharma vision is built upon the relentless pursuit of delivering more benefits to patients. To accelerate this transformation, we have established PT Digital, AI and Operational Excellence (PTE), an organization designed to catalyze global development and spearhead the execution of Pharma Technical Operations' (PT) Digital and Lean strategy. PTE serves as the engine for industry-leading digital and lean operations across our global manufacturing footprint, revolutionizing our "FAIR" data ecosystem and generating the transformative insights necessary to deliver life-changing medicines with unprecedented efficiency.
The Business Performance Intelligence Lead is a high-impact position with the mission to architect and steer the generation of impactful insights regarding the Cost to Serve and granular product cost financial structures. By revolutionizing how financial and business data is synthesized through digital, data, and AI-enabled solutions, the Lead will support high-stakes strategic decision-making and provide the transparency required to optimize the financial performance of Roche’s global manufacturing operations.
The Opportunity
BI Strategy Architecture: Architect the overarching Business Intelligence blueprint for cost to serve transparency within PT, ensuring alignment between financial objectives and the broader digital strategy.
Agile Product Ownership: Lead as the primary Product Owner within an Agile/Scrum framework for digital and AI-driven solutions, catalyzing the implementation of use cases that facilitate decisions across PT.
Process Re-engineering & Excellence: Drive the re-design of financial performance processes to ensure maximum transparency, eliminating legacy silos in favor of streamlined, digital-first workflows.
Transparency & Metrics: Design and implement sophisticated metric frameworks that provide deep-dive transparency into Cost to Serve and detailed product cost structures.
Data Backbone & Financial Integrity: Partner with PT-Manufacturing and IT to ensure a robust data ecosystem, applying "FAIR" data principles to ensure the highest standards of financial data integrity.
Global Roadmap Orchestration: Manage the strategic user backlog and orchestrate the global scale-up of digital solutions to ensure consistent value delivery across the manufacturing footprint.
Community Leadership & Coaching: Establish a cross-functional community of practice and coach global stakeholders on Agile methodologies and complex manufacturing cost drivers.
Who You Are
Financial & Professional Expertise: A mandatory profound financial background in manufacturing finance or top-tier consultancy, with 15+ years of total related experience and 5+ years of success in team management.
Digital Strategy & Transformation: Minimum of 7 years of experience architecting and implementing large-scale digital transformations and navigating complex data ecosystems, preferably in Pharma.
Executive Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to influence and collaborate with C-suite executives and Senior VPs in a manufacturing environment to drive strategic change.
Education & Technical Knowledge: BS/MS in a Finance/Business related field (MBA appreciated) with advanced knowledge of ERP systems (SAP), financial consolidation tools, and manufacturing informatics.
Strategic & Revolutionary Mindset: An analytical thinker skilled at steering project teams through global matrix organizations while implementing disruptive solutions that challenge the status quo.
