The Position

At Roche, Product Development (PD) is a global organization of approximately 4,000 colleagues across Innovation Centers covering multiple disease areas, all dedicated to translating science into transformative medicines for patients. Within this exciting and dynamic environment, PD Communications operates as a high-impact team of strategic business partners.

We are seeking a dynamic Communications Business Partner who embodies a strategic and collaborative mindset. In this role, you will lead a diverse portfolio of communication responsibilities across the PD landscape, serving as a core member of at least one PD Leadership Team to drive business outcomes and organizational alignment.

The Opportunity

As you join our team, you will have the chance to shape how we connect science with people through the following key responsibilities:

• Strategic Advisory: Act as a core strategic adviser and valued Leadership Team member for a designated PD portfolio.

• Strategic Translation: Translate business strategy into high-impact communication blueprints that resonate from lab benches to the leadership community.

• Senior Counsel: Provide strategic counsel to senior leaders and ensure communications are integrated into the business decision-making process.

• Cross-functional Strategy: Identify, lead, and execute internal and external communication strategies to position PD and Roche at the forefront of healthcare science.

• Global Alignment: Work within a Business Partnering team to align across a global network and deliver a unified communications approach.

• Culture & Change Catalyst: Lead communications initiatives regarding organizational transformation, development, and behavioral/cultural evolution.

• Collaborative Partnership: Partner with Roche Group Communications and "Centers of Excellence" (e.g., media relations, social media) to co-create world-class communications.

Who You Are

We are looking for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced scientific environment and brings the following expertise to the table:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.

• Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant application or communications experience.

• Communication Excellence: Outstanding communication skills with proficiency in both German and English.

• Strategic Influence: Strong sales, influencing, and proven collaboration skills to navigate a complex global matrix.

• Technical Integration: Ability to quickly learn and get certified on Roche instrumentation, applications, and software guidelines as they relate to the role.
