Job Description Summary:
As Head of Brand and Reputation, you will be responsible for shaping, protecting, and enhancing the corporate brand and reputation of Sandoz globally. You will lead the development and execution of brand strategy, reputation management, and thought leadership initiatives to position the company as a trusted leader in affordable healthcare. You will additionally ensure consistent brand messaging across all touchpoints and proactively manage reputational risks and opportunities in alignment with business objectives.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Brand Strategy & Management:
Define and evolve the global brand positioning, architecture, and visual identity.
Ensure consistent brand expression across all internal and external communications.
Refresh the brand as appropriate in line with the evolving business and reputation goals of Sandoz.
Lead brand campaigns that build awareness, trust, and differentiation in the market.
Lead on editorial strategy and key corporate materials such as the Annual Report.
Reputation Management:
Monitor and manage the company’s reputation across media, digital, and stakeholder channels.
Develop and implement proactive and reactive strategies to protect and enhance reputation.
Support reputational issues and crisis communications planning and response in collaboration with Media Relations, Legal & Compliance, and Public Affairs.
Identify reputation building opportunities and use reputational data and trust KPIs to leverage and implement them.
Thought Leadership:
Develop and execute thought leadership platforms and campaigns in ESG and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) that differentiate Sandoz.
Position the company as a voice of authority in access to medicines, societal impact, and healthcare innovation.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Public Affairs, ESG, P&O) to align messaging and reputation goals.
Build relationships with external partners, media, and influencers to amplify brand and reputation efforts.
Measurement & Insights:
Define KPIs and measurement frameworks to assess brand health and reputation impact.
Leverage insights to continuously refine strategy and messaging.
What you’ll bring to the role:
Essential Requirements:
Master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field
Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus
15+ years in brand, reputation, or corporate communications roles
Experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences industry, ideally in generics or biosimilars
Proven track record in managing global brand and reputation programs
Strong storytelling and content development skills
Crisis communications and media relations experience
High emotional intelligence and stakeholder management skills
Data-driven mindset with experience in brand and reputation analytics
Strategic thinking and analytical mindset
Strong leadership and influencing skills
Excellent project management and organizational abilities
Proficiency in communications tools, analytics platforms, and reporting systems
High level of business acumen and stakeholder management
