The Position
Global chemical and environmental regulations play a vital role in every stage of a product’s lifecycle — from development and manufacturing to usage and disposal. At Roche Pharma Technical Operations, we are uniting our expertise and expanding our capabilities to ensure strong compliance with these important regulations.
The opportunity
Join a dynamic, international team at the forefront of product environmental compliance. You will be working in the Roche Pharma Environmental & Chemical Regulations team. Our goal is to ensure our products comply with environmental regulations, and improve their sustainability performance. Joining our team will provide you with the experience of working in a cross-functional and international team, and will give you the opportunity to learn about pharmaceutical manufacturing and how this connects to sustainability and environmental compliance.
The scope of your work will be to assist in analysing, collecting, validating and formatting of Environmental Regulations and Life Cycle Assessment data. You will help translate data needs into data requirements and design and execute implementation projects, with the goal of better data management and availability across multiple functions.
The ideal candidate has a background in data science and some knowledge of environmental data. You should be comfortable with the collection of various types of data from multiple sources, and be able to standardize, organize, and communicate this information in a clear and structured way. Your daily tasks will be:
Perform data analyses of pharmaceutical products and processes
Conduct data collection and modeling in tailored project
Assist in optimizing and streamlining data insights and communication
Support the environmental regulations team in providing sustainability insights to product teams
Who you are
You are enrolled in or have completed your Master’s studies (not earlier than in September 2025) at a university, preferably in the field of Data Science, Mathematics, Life Science, or Sustainability.
Furthermore, you gained experience in:
Data science, ideally in combination with environmental topics
Data processing and visualization tools and software
Python programming language or similar
Your strengths are:

Communicative, proactive, and collaborative.
Critical thinker, passionate, and fluent in English.
