Within Roche’s Pharma Research and Early Development (pRED), the Cardiovascular, Metabolism and Immunology Therapeutic Area is focused on discovering and developing transformative therapies for patients with some of the highest unmet needs today. With unparalleled strengths integrating diverse disciplines, Roche is uniquely positioned to lead in transforming science to medicines for patients with life-altering cardiovascular, metabolic and immunologic diseases. An important focus area within immunology is immune-mediated gastrointestinal disease, including inflammatory bowel disease, given its substantial individual and societal impact.
The Opportunity
As a Medical Director, Immunology in Immunology Early Development, you will use your immunology and clinical expertise to help advance the Immunology portfolio and support internal and external efforts across the immunology disease area.
You support the delivery of clinical studies and work as part of a cross-functional team to build and implement clinical development strategy for assets.
You develop clinical strategic options that consider speed, technical, regulatory, business and operational needs,
You are a source of clinical and development expertise for pre-clinical programmes.
You may be a matrix leader of clinical teams, playing a role in building high-performing teams capable of progressing clinical plans with high quality and urgency.
You contribute to the evaluation of external partnering opportunities,
You represent the Immunology Early Development group both internally within the matrixed pRED community and externally at conferences and international meetings
Who you are:
You hold an MD degree and bring a minimum of 5 years of clinical research experience within either an academic or industrial setting.
You possess deep expertise in immunology-related indications, specifically within fields like nephrology, respiratory medicine, or gastroenterology.
You have a track record in early clinical development (Phase I/II), specifically focusing on the transition of New Molecular Entities (NMEs) into human trials.
You demonstrate hands-on mastery in designing, executing, and interpreting complex clinical studies, ensuring data integrity and scientific rigor.
You have experience working and leading effectively in matrix teams.
