As a world leading Professional Conference Organizer (PCO) we specialise in connecting scientific communities by delivering seamless, high-impact congresses in Switzerland and all over Europe.

As an IT System Engineer, you’ll support our users on-site in Basel and take the lead in setting up, maintaining, and dismantling the IT infrastructure at our international congresses across Switzerland and Europe — playing a vital role in delivering smooth, high-impact events for scientific exchange.

Tasks

• Manage and support Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID)
• Maintain and optimize our Hyper-V and Windows Server infrastructure
• Provide IT support across all levels (1st to 3rd line)
• Drive automation using tools like PowerShell and Intune
• Deliver hands-on IT support at congresses and events across Switzerland and Europe

Requirements

• Completed IT education or equivalent professional qualification
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT system administration or support
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and Hyper-V
• Experience with end-user support and infrastructure services (1st–3rd level)
• Basic understanding of networking and IT security
• Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g. PowerShell) is a plus
• Willingness to travel occasionally to support events on-site (approx. 5%)
• Independent, structured, and service-oriented working style
• Fluent in English (written and spoken), German a plus
