Job Description Summary
The Sales Operations Analyst in Global Commercial Operations is responsible for the calculation of the ICON Business Development Incentive Compensation Plan on a quarterly basis. The role will also be actively involved in supporting weekly and monthly sales reporting needs across the organization.
Job Description
Develop and maintain recurring reports and analysis which include but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for the completion of quarterly ICON Business Development Incentive Compensation Plan calculations. Support corporate finance with the quarterly accrual process.
- Assist with the quarterly close process, which includes the board presentation and investor call materials.
- Complete and distribute weekly sales performance by Service Area. Analyze current quarter and YTD results against applicable targets.
- Aide in the compilation of the Weekly Opportunities Roadmap.
- Take active leadership in managing the service, sponsor and account executive award and RFP targets.
- Support the creation and continued enhancing of service area forecasts for Commercial and Operational leadership.
- Other ad-hoc sales reporting needs from across the enterprise.
What you will need:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree, or local equivalent, in related field or equivalent experience
- Relevant experience in a finance setting (possibly client facing and/or business partnering)
- Pharmaceutical/biotech experience is preferred.
- Ideally a fluent understanding of key aspects of clinical research, including program design, program management, metrics, and pricing
Knowledge/Skills:
- Excellent working knowledge of MS office package, in particular Excel with ability to manipulate and draw meaningful analysis and actions from data
- Excellent presentation and communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to inspire confidence
- Ability to interact with and influence a variety of personnel across the organization
- Must have the ability to work effectively in a matrix environment; can work through ambiguity and create alignment across multi-disciplinary teams
- Ability to navigate uncertainty and apply structured thinking and decision-making frameworks to complex business questions
- Commercially astute individual with a proven ability to understand and solve problems
