Its brands – Domal, Technal, Wicona and Sapa – offer a broad portfolio of system products, including windows, doors, façades, shutters and conservatories.
HBS is recognized as an industry leader and a driving force in advancing sustainability standards within the aluminium building systems sector.
The company employs approximately 2,900 people worldwide.
HBS Operations includes several logistics hubs, coating lines and five specialized extrusion plants across Europe. The Bellenberg site is one of these integrated production facilities.
Hydro Building Systems is currently seeking a local Plant Manager for the Bellenberg extrusion plant.
What we offer you
The plant Manager in Bellenberg is responsible for the extrusion plant in Bellenberg with more then 100 employees.
You will ensure implementations of policies and actions to ensure safe operation as well as deliver on targets according to the existing scorecard.
What you will be doing
Major activities will be:
- Ensure good relationship with external and internal stakeholders
- Manage, inspire and motivate the employees in line with Hydro values
- Ensure the safety of employees and compliance with Hydro/Legal requirements and procedures
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the Bellenberg plant in accordance with the safety, quality, and environmental standards and legal requirements
- Optimize production processes and drive results in line with Lean manufacturing principles
- Contribute in the Strategic Unit to support the business development
- Develop Business plans and set operational targets in line with the HBS strategy
- Define and follow-up action plans to achieve planned targets and KPI
- Analyse, propose and supervise investments projects
- As a member of the operational management team liaise with other units of the company and participate to international projects
What will make you successful?
- Engineering Degree
- Minimum 10 years of Plant / Production management
- Experience from the extrusion plant would be beneficial
- Ability to develop and build teams
- Problem solving capabilities (Lean Manufacturing experience would be a plus)
- Excellent communication skills
- Innovation and improvement oriented
- Fluent in German and English, third language would be a plus (Italian or French)

The position is based in Bellenberg (Germany, Bayern) and availability to live in the area is required
