The vhw – Bundesverband für Wohnen und Stadtentwicklung e. V. (Federal Association for Housing and Urban Development) is an independent non-profit organization that has been established for 80 years and has around 130 employees. As a non-profit association, the vhw works both as a training provider in the municipal sector and as a research institution on future topics of urban development with a focus on municipal practice. The aim of our research team of around 15 employees is to strengthen the ability of municipal, housing industry and civil society actors to act through application-oriented research, basic research, practical projects and knowledge transfer and to make a scientific contribution to urban development
