INTRODUCTION
We are seeking a Mid-Level Data Engineer to join our growing data platform team. You will play a key role in building, scaling, and maintaining data infrastructure that powers business-critical insights and applications. This role combines engineering excellence with operational responsibility, including participation in our on-call rotation to ensure system reliability.
Your responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows in AWS
Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform to ensure reproducibility and reliability
Develop, schedule, and monitor workflows with Apache Airflow (managed via MWAA )
Operate and optimize containerized data services and applications in our EKS (Kubernetes) cluster
Ensure high availability, performance, and cost-efficiency of data platforms
Participate in the team’s on-call rotation to support production systems and respond to incidents
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product engineers to deliver reliable data solutions
Implement observability and monitoring for pipelines, ensuring timely detection and resolution of issues
Job requirements
Your profile:
3–5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
Strong experience with AWS services (e.g., S3, Glue, Lambda, RDS, EMR, Redshift, or DynamoDB)
Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code
Practical knowledge of Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration
Experience working with Kubernetes and deploying workloads in EKS
Proficiency in Python and SQL
Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and distributed systems
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)
Comfortable with production support and on-call responsibilities
Nice to Have:
Familiarity with streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis, etc.).
Knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or CloudWatch).
Experience with data governance, quality frameworks, or security best practices.
Exposure to big data frameworks (Spark, Flink, etc.).
