Über diesen Job
The product portfolio we support includes surge arresters, insulators, and related components. Our products are used worldwide in medium-, high-, and extra-high-voltage power grids. We manufacture and develop our products at our sites in Berlin and Wuxi (China).
The role of our department is to manage customer projects and development initiatives (epics) as well as to adapt our products to meet customer requirements. In addition, we support our colleagues from manufacturing, procurement, and sales with our expert knowledge. Close collaboration as well as short communication and decision-making paths form the foundation of our success.
As a test field engineer for surge arresters and insulators, you will spend a large part of your day working in the accredited high-voltage test fields and the switchgear test field in Berlin. You will carry out electrical tests on our equipment in accordance with applicable standards or customer requirements and, through your technical understanding of the applied measurement methods, ensure the quality of the measurement results.
You will also apply your electrical engineering expertise to answer customer product-related questions and, together with Business Development and Product Management, develop customer-specific solutions. In addition, you will be part of the international Agile Release Train for composite insulators and surge arresters, contributing your technical expertise to ensure the success of our epics.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Independent planning and execution of electrical type and development tests in compliance with applicable standards and test specifications
- Preparation of all required documentation for individual tests
- Support of our development projects with your expertise in testing
- Supervision and guidance of test setups and test circuits, including the instruction of skilled workers and students in the test field
- Active involvement in quality assurance of test field processes

What You Bring
- Successfully completed university degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on high-voltage engineering, or a comparable qualification with initial professional experience
- Initial professional experience in the field of high-voltage testing
- Knowledge of relevant testing standards for insulators and surge arresters is an advantage
- Confident use of the MS Office 365 suite
- Team spirit, results- and customer-oriented mindset, creativity, and an independent working style
- Business-fluent German and English skills
